One of the great bonuses of working with the fantastic team at the 1539 Restaurant at Chester Race Course for the Boodles May Meeting is the opportunity to mingle with their guests and help them negotiate their way round a great wine list.
I had the chance to chat with football legend – former Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur (and sometime manager of Wales) Mike England. His tales of his team mates were great to hear and left me feeling very privileged to be amongst so many interesting people and helping them to get the most from the excellent wine list.
