Last week was English Wine Week and to celebrate this great occasion, well known broadcaster, author and
wine authority, Oz Clarke was joined by his old pal Charlie Womersley in an irreverent but highly enjoyable
gallop around England tasting wines from nine very different vineyards.

With  the help of Kieron Atkinson from the English Wine Project and wine maker extraordinaire, the team
live-streamed three 30-minute video blogs over the course of English Wine Week.

The vineyards chosen were carefully selected by Kieron to illustrate the diversity of what is happening
in the English Wine Industry today.

From Derbyshire to Newcastle upon Tyne, down to Sussex, across to East Anglia, through inner-city London
(yes that’s right!), across to Gloucestershire and finally ending on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall.

As Charlie and Oz sipped and slurped their way through 18 very different still and sparkling offerings Kieron
revealed fascinating insights as to exactly how the wine was made.

What was agreed universally between the three gallopers was that the English Wine Industry is in very
good shape and in the hands of people with massive skills and enthusiasm, both of which attributes shone
through in every sip.

You can catch up on the broadcasts on YouTube using the links below.

But watch this space there is plenty more to come from the guys, including a new dedicated site for English
Wine that we aim to develop over the coming months https://englishwinemakers.com.

So stay tuned and remain Forever Thirsty.
